Ethos Group

We would like to welcome you to our Ethos Group section on the All Saints’ Church of England Primary School, Marple website.  We are a group of children from across Key Stage 2 who meet regularly to make All Saints’ the best Church School it can be.  One of our first tasks after starting the group 2 years ago was to ask the whole school to vote for the 6 Key Christian Values that the children felt were most important to life at All Saints’.  The values chosen are Hope, Friendship, Trust, Forgiveness, Thankfulness and Peace.  We have developed a system where we focus on a value each half term to support and inspire others to live out the values in their own life.  We now also have regular child led Collective Worships, and managed to get Bishop Libby to visit us which was a very special occasion through our persuasive letter writing skills, ran an Art Competition to celebrate our Christian distinctiveness, supported classes on developing purposeful Reflection Areas and even presented numerous times, at All Saints’ Church, to our SIAMS Governor Committee and to the Whole School.  As you can see we have had a busy two years!  We hope you found this insight into what we do useful and am sure that when you visit All Saints’ (in our opinion the best School ever) you will be able to see live and breathe our ethos.

Dear God,
Thank you God for our school and families and the wonderful world we live in today,
You are amazing because you made the universe and everything in it,
We are sorry for when we and others make bad choices please help us to be loving and caring children,
Surround our community with love and give us strength to keep safe and be the best that we can be,
We hope our school continues to be loving and caring in the All Saints' Way forever
