Our safeguarding commitment

All Saints’ C of E primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children and young people. We want every child to feel safe, listened to, respected and supported. Safeguarding is everybody’s responsibility, and all adults in our school have a role in helping children to be safe and well.

We will take concerns seriously, respond promptly and work with children, families and safeguarding partners to help keep children safe. We are alert to signs of abuse, neglect, exploitation, online harm, child-on-child abuse, poor or falling attendance, and other concerns that may affect a child’s welfare.

Children can share worries or concerns in different ways. We will listen carefully, avoid judgement, record concerns accurately and take appropriate action. We use language that avoids unnecessary labelling and recognises both children who have been harmed and children who may have caused harm as children who may need support, boundaries and safeguarding oversight.

If you are worried about a child, please speak to a member of our safeguarding team as soon as possible. You do not need to be certain that a child is being harmed to raise a concern.

If a child is in immediate danger, call 999. If the DSL or Deputy DSL is not available and urgent safeguarding action is needed, anyone can contact children’s social care, MASSH, the police or emergency services directly. Any action taken should be recorded and shared with the DSL or Deputy DSL as soon as possible.

Our full safeguarding and child protection policy is available on our website and from the school office. We review our safeguarding arrangements regularly and work in line with KCSIE 2026, local Stockport safeguarding procedures and multi-agency guidance.
