Friday 17th July (Miss J Mcconnell)

Happy FriYAY!!

We hope that everyone is happy and looking forward to the end of term coming…. I know I am as we have been super busy with the children in our bubbles, keeping in touch with you on Tapestry and preparing for the new school year We hope that you are looking forward to Class now more than ever that you have had your zoom meetings, but we also know that we are going to miss all of you so, so much, my wonderful, amazing, best class in the world!

With a huge emphasis on everyone’s mental well-being right now,  I would really urge you all to follow this link ( primary )  to a #SelfcareSummer pack. These offer children and young people some fun self-care activities and signpost to additional support if needed.

Thank you for so many of you showing an interest in receiving reading books over the summer, it is fantastic to know your children still love reading and I am absolutely delighted and proud at how many needed to move up levels too, feel super, super proud of yourselves for helping your child achieve this!!

In saying this, I completely understand that some children may just not have it in them right now to want to do any school related work. We are all tired and I know for one my brain started a slow shut down a few weeks ago!! We have all been doing so amazing to sustain this very stressful and unusual way of learning for so long. Regardless of where your child is in their learning right now, you all need a break. In September, everything will be in place to support all of you and all our children will get back right to where they are supposed to be, in a happy, loving and safe environment to flourish in. Please use the summer to enjoy your time off. We will return to the hustle and bustle before we know it and we will probably find ourselves really missing this quality family time…believe it or not!

Aoife continues to write and has been challenging herself to take on some cursive writing, wow Aoife!!
