Friday 10th July (Miss J Mcconnell)

Hello Everyone,

I hope you are keeping well and remember that the end is in sight of what has been a very , very strange and difficult last few months of your child’s first year in school and I reckon we are all very deserving and in need of the upcoming summer holidays!!

We have again lots of certificates this week in Reading Eggs…. GOING FOR GOLD….Daniel, Nathaniel and Jenny have all received top certs which I will upload on to Tapestry!! Excellent achievements here guys keep up his effort!!

In Mathletics, Alex has received  yet another certificate, awesome work, take a bow and give yourself a big pat on the back! You have also been working incredibly hard on your writing Alex so a huge round of applause to you!

Thank you for trying our tricky word competition. Jasmine, Sofia and Nathaniel shared their amazing tricky word master skills today and I am more than impressed.

Phoebe is working really hard at home and has her own little learning station set up which I would love myself! Thank you for sharing Phoebe and I love how interested in dinosaurs you are becoming!

Jessica M has been reading more books than you would find in a library and I am just blown away by how much you have progressed and love to see your passion for reading, keep this up!!

Isaac has been literally out of this world with dinosaurs pooping on planets and spaceships, you make home learning look so much fun and I am so impressed with everything you do Isaac , thank you for sharing.

Aoife is working really hard on perfecting her handwriting ready for year 1, this is excellent preparation for you Aoife keep up all your hard work!!

Emily and Jenny are have a wonderful time with Miss Whittleworth in their bubble as are Maxx, Amelia, Teddy, Jessica Lewis and Freddie Webb. I keep hearing reports how amazing you all are and well we all know what I say to this….I am not surprised because we are simply the best!!

I have also heard you had a fabulous zoom meet with your new Year 1 team and as much as I never want to let this class go (and I mean NEVER) I could not be more happy and excited for you all because you will have the best time. Our Year 1 team are very special and Mrs. Manning is incredible, you are all so very lucky and they are even more so to be inheriting such a special group of children.  I will still need you all though as my new reception class may need help settling in and I know I can count on my best class ever to make them feel super welcome and show them our school ways.

We continue to be so very proud of our children and families more than ever right now…keep hanging on, only 2 weeks to go!!!

Have a lovely weekend.

Miss Mcconnell and Miss Whittleworth.
